Wide Boy Bucket & Wide Boy Bucket Lid
Searching for a paint bucket to easily accommodate 9-, 12-, 14-, and 18-inch frames? Just look far and Wide…you’ll find the solution from Wooster! With a 5-gallon working capacity, there’s no question that the Wide Boy Bucket is designed for big tasks. Molded from durable polypropylene, the Wide Boy Bucket resists coating buildup. It also includes a roll-off area that is 19-inches across. This means you can continue to work out of the Wide Boy Bucket regardless if you’re using a standard 9-inch cover up to an 18-inch frame.
One fear of dealing with higher volumes of coatings is that spills can become an expensive waste of materials; however, the sturdy no-tip design ensures paint ends up on the wall instead of the floor. A heavy-duty 5/16-inch galvanized bail and comfort grip make the bucket easy to transport around the jobsite.
Pair it with the Wide Boy Bucket Lid to form a sealable container that stores paint and tools for days. During the job, it protects paint from debris and skim over. Sold separately from the bucket, the lid is made of gray, solvent-resistant PET, a recycled plastic.
Tip: Use a trash bag for a liner!
Even though this polypropylene bucket cleans quickly, we still occasionally receive requests for liners. Heavy-duty trash bags (1-mil or thicker) work well as liners for the Wide Boy Bucket. Just open a 30-gallon bag, place it into the bucket, and fold it down over the outside. Use the Wooster Snap Screen to lock the liner in place. After painting is complete, lift the liner out and cut off a corner of the bag to pour and squeeze the remaining paint back into its original container.
The Wide Boy Bucket and Wide Boy Bucket Lid simplify painting. The bucket (catalog number 8614) and lid (catalog number 8624) have approximate retail prices of $37.99 USD and $7.49 USD respectively. Ask for both of these great products at your favorite Wooster source. first posted on June 3, 2010
